Track Numbers Climb
The NGS 2026 track season is underway, as practice started Monday, March 16.
Head Coach Shane Weigel, Napoleon, who has been with the team for 12 years, reported yet another record year of participants since he’s been with the program. He noted Napoleon has 33 athlete’s grades 7-12, while Gackle-Streeter adds 20 athlete’s grades 7-12. G-S Coach Sadie Wulf said this is the most athletes to participate in track from G-S since she’s been coaching the program for the last 13 years.
“I think it’s great that the program continues to grow and I’m looking forward to seeing what this season brings,” noted Coach Weigel.
The team’s first meet was scheduled for Tuesday April 7 in Ipswich, SD, but was cancelled due to cold temperatures. The next meet is scheduled for. . .
