Rebels Too Much For Imperials

February 18, 2026

The tenacious defense of the Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier boys’ basketball team was too much for the Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter team as the Rebels cruised to a 26-63 win.

It was parents’ night for the Imperials, as all boys’ basketball participants and their parents were recognized prior to the start of the varsity game. It was also the last regular season home game for NGS which was played Thurs., Feb. 13.

In action at the Napoleon School Gym the Imperial offense had trouble getting on track as shots weren’t falling. The Imperials managed to get on the board as freshman Steyn DuPreez converted an ‘old fashioned’ 3-point play as NGS trailed 3-10 with 2 minutes to play in the first quarter. NGS junior Jackson Piatz scored the lone other deuce in this quarter as NGS trailed 5-19 headed to the second frame.

In the second frame NGS head coach Logan Klitzke and his squad . . .
