Boys In 3-Point Shootout

December 31, 2025

The Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter boys’ basketball team is still in search of their first win. Friday, Dec. 19 they played host to Sargent County. The Imperials had a strong first quarter shooting, as they cashed in on 5-treys from downtown. NGS head coach Logan Klitzke saw freshman shooting guard, Bradley Hottman knock down three triples in a matter of three minutes. Another NGS shooting guard, junior Brenden Zenker also added to the long-range shooting as he dropped in a pair of triples in the 2-minute span from 5:20 to 3:11 in the first quarter. Hottman and Zenker were taking turns from long range and the ball was dropping for the Imperials. Hottman’s last trey of the first quarter lifted NGS out in front 19-14 with 2:25 to play in the first. The quarter closed with the Imperials leading 21-19. At the start of the second, the Imperials managed to increase their lead to hold a 27-21 lead about midway through the second. The remainder of the second quarter the Imperials had trouble taking care of the ball and they only managed a pair of free tosses by junior Jackson Piatz to close out the second quarter scoring. The half closed with the game all knotted at 29.

In the third quarter the Imperials relinquished the earlier lead and found themselves trailing 30-31 with just. . .
