6 Boys Place In Carrington

After competing in a pair of duals the night before in Carrington, the Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter boys’ wrestling team was part of the 19-team Al Larson tournament in Carrington on Sat., Dec. 13. As a team, the Imperials placed 8th with only six wrestlers and scoring 88.5 team points. Bismarck Legacy won the team title with 207 team points.
NGS head coach Kris McCleary came away with all six wrestlers entered in the tourney placing in the top 8. The lone NGS individual champion was junior Bryce Schneider at 152 lbs. For Schneider it wasn’t an easy task enroute to the title as his semi-final match, he won in a tie breaker and in the finals, he won in the ultimate tie breaker.
