Primary, City & School Elections Next Tuesday

Next Tuesday, June 9 is Primary Election Day across the state.

The lone Logan County voting site is at the Logan County Courthouse and the poll is open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. election day.

Logan County Auditor Jody Kristiansen reports to have mailed out 1,134 absentee ballot applications. Applications were sent to active voters, meaning the person had to vote at least once in the last two election cycles. There were 468 absentee ballots being mailed as of Friday, May 29. As of Friday, the Auditor’s Office has received 252 absentee ballots returned to the office.

As a reminder, all mail-in ballots must be returned to the Auditor’s office no later than 7:00 p.m. Tues., June 9 to be considered for counting.

School elections, both in Napoleon and Gackle-Streeter School Districts will take place at the respective schools with polls also being open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 9.

At the last primary election two years ago, there were 628 ballots cast county wide.

In addition to the state wide races, where voters must vote either Republican or Democrat, meaning they cannot cross party lines, there are also a few non-party races on the ballot. Logan County voters will see a race for a county. . .
