Council Approves Raises

The Napoleon City Council met to discuss several agenda items, including pay raises, at the regular monthly meeting last Monday, December 1.
All councilmen were present, including Mayor Todd Moos, John Wald, Clark Haas, Mike Heying, Bob Humann, Rich Bjerklie and Rod Kleppe.
The council discussed the approximate cost of living increase of 2.5% and approved a 4% raise for full-time employees and a 50 cent per hour raise for part-time, with Humann abstaining in the part-time employee decision due to conflict of interest.
While discussing raises, the council also agreed to again give the employees a Christmas bonus to show their appreciation. They approved to give NBA bucks in the amounts of $200 for full-time employees, $100 to full part-time employees and $50 to part-time.
In other business it was noted the snowplow truck is down and they need to look at some options for purchasing a new one. As a few quotes were handed out, the council approved. . .
