Commissioners Offer Clarification On A Couple Issues

At their regular monthly meeting held Wed., Sept. 10 Logan County Commissioners offered a couple of clarification points in regards to information discussed at a previous meeting.

Commissioners John Wald, and Bryan Batsch agreed with Commissioner Schumacher in her written clarifications points which were as follows:

Clarification of information (1): According to County records and the opinion of the Logan County States Attorney the jurisdiction of the road that passes through the W ½ of Section 20 in Red Lake Township does not fall within the County or the Township, nor does it fall within the definition of a 20-year established trail, but it is a private road on private property.

Clarification of information (2): Cameras and other evidence show that two culvert(s) that were recently installed in Sections 8/9 in German Township became ruined when the Road Closed signs and other measures that were put in place for the public safety purposes (by County Highway Department) were either moved or driven over by individuals who chose to ignore the warning signs.
