Board Continues To Look At Shop Adddition Options

The Napoleon School Board looked into a few different options for a shop addition during the regular monthly meeting last Monday, November 14.
Without much discussion the board agreed to send the options to the building committee to decide which direction to move. “We need to get rolling on this,” added Superintendent Bjerklie, as it was assigned to the committee of himself, Jeff Schneider and Shawn Puklich.
All board members were present at the meeting including President Crystal Johnson, Taylor Grunefelder, Tori Gross, Schneider and Puklich, via phone conference, along with Bjerklie, Elementary Principal Whitney Weigel and HS Principal Chad Berger.
Bjerklie also noted quotes are still needed for the gym painting and the roof project. He said he’s hoping to receive them soon so the board can decide on the projects in December.
The board previously discussed the purchase of new football field lights. They went over different prices, as quotes were received for the light fixtures, hanging of the lights, but also one including everything (new poles, hook up, etc.). Bjerklie said light fixtures were quoted at $92,000, with installation as an extra $43,500, while the other option of everything new (including poles and a 25-year warranty) totals $186,700.
