$25,000 Donation To NSF
The Napoleon Scholarship Fund is excited to announce that Badger Wind LLC has recently donated $25,000 to the organization. This $25,000 will be awarded through the Napoleon Scholarship Fund’s NHS Senior Scholarship Application process; twenty-five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to Napoleon High School graduates for the next twenty-five years.
“This is so exciting!” says Lisa Long, the president of the local scholarship organization. Last May, she was contacted by Tom Suthard, Head of Local Engagement of External Affairs for Orsted. Badger Wind, LLC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Orsted Onshore North America, LLC. Orsted is a renewable energy company that is responsible for the development, construction, and operation of the wind-powered electric generating facility located in Logan and McIntosh Counties, known as Badger Wind. Lisa and Tom talked about the Mission of the NSF: “Our mission is to encourage graduating seniors of NHS to continue their education and improve their opportunities for rewarding employment.
